Windows: switch to an International English keyboard layout, install WinCompose, and make use of the newly installed Compose key.

Or, on Windows 10 and later, press Win+period and check the rightmost tab in that selector, the one with the omega symbol.

I’m a French-speaker, using Windows with a US English keyboard, and you know what my issue is with accented letters?

I keep accidentally typing accented letters where I wanted the non-accented version.

* donate money to people who can't afford eye tests or prescriptions (I might collect these links closer to the time and ask for people to boost and donate)

* read, watch, or listen to blind people about how to be good to blind people. Mostly what we want is pretty easy but still seems to surprise people!

Things that would actually make a good World Sight Day celebration:

* get your eyes tested if you haven't in the last couple years. It is a very easy way to catch a lot of very important things early - not all of which are even directly related to your eyes!
