To people using instances that support more features than Mastodon, could you tell us what missing features should be implemented?
PS: #Fedilab already supports some features such reactions or quotes (you have to enable extra-features in Settings).

@apps Do you think there's a chance to implement a rudimentary support for Hubzilla? An Android app for sending posts exists. It's very basic though but demonstrates that there is a way.

Of course reading your stream and being able to reply would be, well ... a win. 😄
To have the whole feature set of Hubzilla in a mobile app would be an overkill and not important as you can handle it well in a PWA. Just to basically connect with Fedilab would be very helpful.
@apps i think support for more than 4 pics and posting in markdown is most important easy to implement features of non-mastodon
@apps
"Local only" posting in GoToSocial. Although the option exists when posting, it doesn't have the intended effect. At least, not on my instance.
No matter the setting of "Local only", the post is not local-only.
The only effect is: when "Local only" is set, Fedilab adds an eye emoji to the post: 👁
Otherwise, Fedilab seems to work well with GoToSocial!
@apps I'm very jealous of Misskey's pin count and I assume? ability to upload your own emoji. I had custom emoji made for streaming and discord and I'm considering making my own instance just to use them. But...would rather not lol
@apps I would like to see #Friendica circles implemented - public/restricted is not enough 😀
It's propably more common in #Fediverse, not only for Friendica
Also, having proper gallery management would be awesome, but I think it's out of scope for you
I know that's not the answer to the question, but if there's a wish list here, then I'd like to see support for Fediverse Vernissage.photos in Fedilab sometime in the future🙏
@apps
I'm also on @sharkey . I quite like how they have:
- federated profile backgrounds (not to be confused with profile banners) and music statuses;
- antennas;
- channels;
- drives;
- achievements;
- clips;
- roles;
- stats charts everywhere.
Except for the first item, I'm not sure how much of this is federated, as ActivityPub has none of this. I imagine most of these to be non-standard, undocumented, de-facto ActivityPub extensions.
What about loops, bookwyrm and other new fediverse stuff support?
For friendica some DMs are not shown. I can see them on the web and on raccoon, but not on Fedilab.
For Friendica there is 👍👎not available.
Circles, Calendar and Follow Requests are not shown or can be filled.
On Akkoma I can't like with emojis.
What I miss are options from web I don't have for mastodon or friendica.
Pixelfeds collections cannot be used.
When I visit my other accounts I found out that some Server are not reachable, Search does not work, but I can follow when I login to another account and start the search from there. In addition some follower list seem blank on friendica I can see from mastodon.
On others posts are the buttons 😃 and 😃+ but I can't use them.
For other things one must know what is missing.😃

By the way your multi account is superb. 👍 In comparison to raccoon I can reply or follow with any other account when I'm on a special account.
And by running I can validate that Pleroma, Akkoma, Pixelfed and Friendica accounts work next to Mastodon.
@apps I would really like to see Bluesky integration, so i can see everything in same timeline
@apps I'd love to see closer integration with Peertube content.
For example, when someone posts a link to a Peertube video, it shows a video player for Peertube. If you want to favorite or comment on the video, or to follow the channel, there's no one click way to do that. You end up having to copy the URL and search for it.
@apps
Is making filters for timelines uniform across lists/hashtags/home still in the backlog? As in, "hide replies", " hide non-medias", "hide boosts of replies", ...
@ruanjoma
Currently, we were not aware of that project. Maybe we can check first how to follow Vernissage timelines.
@vernissage
@LivInTheLookingGlass
Yes, for Sharkey AFAIK due to different endpoints. We can add it, even if it would have been better to follow what other instances provided (such Pleroma).
@MrClon
By enabling extra-features, you will be able to to post in markdown and more.
For pic numbers, it's a bug, the app reads instance limits and should change this limit automatically.
@apps i don't use FediLab, so i don't know if it doesn't work, just named some Mastodon disabilities. I hope some of them can be somehow bypassed on client side, so mastodon users become less disabled
@sirjofri
It's possible to write markdown messages. But for being clear, when posting such messages, markdowns are converted in HTML tags by the instance. These convertions are supported by all apps. While Fedilab supports posting in markdown and read HTML formatted messages, that has nothing to do with our in-app feature supporting Markdowns (text only) which is often enabled wrongly.
@MrClon
@apps in ideal world it should be fixed in mastodon itself, but we didn't live in ideal world, and mastodon devs seemingly love such artificial limits
@MrClon
Oh OK. Mastodon api has a dedicated endpoint that allows to know more about instance limits. So apps are now able to apply them.
@morph
The project from gitlab is in react native and will work for both ios and Android. Maybe it's better than the dev find more support for their project?
It would be possible to bring that support, by starting with few features but it might take time.
