@filid is it really a repair if you didn’t use power tools? Good job!
I wonder if there are replacements similar to the ones for Dallas RTCs.
Edit: and how on earth did you upload a video to pixelfed? My app doesn’t allow that…
@root42 @filid@pixelfed.social I composed the video on iMovie on my iPhone, saved on my Mac and did “Handmassage” with handbrake until it was below 15000Kbytes. (Export as Web->Social 25MB 2 Minutes 540p60) And upload via browser on the Mac. Yes there are replacements, but they are expensive and this way, we can now easily replace the battery in the future. Only have to check for it now not to leak.
@filid Ok, so it's a web only feature. Interesting!
Battery: Yeah, I do expect it to be cheaper! But probably also a bit risky, if you don't know how far you can dremel into that thing?
@root42 Colleague of mine (the one with the saw) had done this multiple times and we had the chip layout as a hint. Its broken, it does not get more broken and if it does not work after that you still can buy the replacement. Or take one out of the vast supply of even more broken SUNs.
