I am on a mission to convince the city of #Ottawa to leave X. The response so far is that ‘we still reach quite a number of people via X’, totally missing the point that Musk is helping pulling the rug from underneath Canada. Now I read that premier Ford is pulling the plug on the 100 mln Starlink deal, I feel stronger. Can you help by sending your city councillor an email to ask the city to pull the plug on X. My take away having a big, electric cargo bike for 1.5 years is scheduled maintenance. Enviolo gears “themselves” are great. No issues with that aspect. But fuck me the gear changing system is a nightmare. Both cables replaced, cable housings replaced and then another cable snapped this morning. You can manually “move” the gears and just adjust your e-boost as you pedal so it’s still useable but shit this system is rough #biketooter #ottawa #ottbike #enviolo #cargobike

C'mon Environment Canada, do we we really need a whole Weather Advisory for 4-8 cm of snow? Get serious.

I'm trying to ween myself off the metaverse, and this is like the fourth time I've tried to use Mastodon since COVID-19 began. I like the *idea* of open-source social media but the UI is never as pretty, IMHO.

I like how quiet it is on here compared to FB and IG. But it's also a bit...too quiet on my timeline.

I live in #Ottawa, and I like #chess, trying different #pizza recipies, I geek out over #coffee and #fountainpens. I used to have a podcast and wouldn't mind getting back into it.
